Immigration Process

CANADA

Canada is a top migrant country destination. It has been welcoming migrants from all over the globe for many decades. The Canadian government has recognized that migration is one of the main drivers of economic growth and thus have created several immigration programs that would suit your qualifications and needs.

Benefits

Canada boasts an inclusive and world-class education system where children of migrant workers are welcome to enroll. At no cost.

Canada also offers a number of state welfare programs including social assistance, the Canada Child Tax Benefit, Old Age Security and the Guaranteed Income Supplement, Employment Insurance, the Canada and Quebec Pension Plan, Workers Compensation, social housing and social services.

Requirements

Depending on the specific programs, the requirements might change, but generally this is the case. You are required to have:

  • Education: Highschool Diploma / School-leaving certificate
  • English: Conversational level
  • Working experience: At least 1 year

LMIA - What is LMIA?

It stands for Labour Market Impact Assessment, which is a required document for an employer in Canada before hiring a foreign worker. A positive LMIA will show that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job.

Why is it needed when applying for Work Permit?

Unless you qualify for an LMIA-exempt work permit, if you wish to work in Canada based on a work permit, you will require an LMIA.

Is english required for the Work Permit?

There is no legal requirement (for you to undergo) that you must write an English language test or French language test (English or French language tests) in order to qualify for a work permit. The aforementioned tests are only required if you wish to apply for a Permanent Resident Visa in the future; therefore you only need to demonstrate that you can converse well in English when applying for a work permit.

THE NETHERLANDS

Highly-skilled workers in the Netherlands are in great demand, so much so that there’s a fast-track immigration process to get them in.

In terms of average salaries, the Netherlands scores quite highly out of EU countries. According to 2018 figures, labor costs in the Netherlands were the 5th highest in Europe and over 25% above the EU average.

PR in Netherlands

After 1 year under a Work permit visa, you are eligible to bring your family. After living in the Netherlands for five years, foreign nationals and their family members can apply for a Dutch permanent residence permit. Once you live in the Netherlands for five continuous years, depending on your nationality and circumstances, you may be eligible for permanent residence.

The process will be easier for you than for the third-country nationals.

If you have been granted a residence permit under the highly skilled migrant scheme, you might want to look into what happens to the validity of the permit when: you change jobs, the temporary contract is not extended or the contract of employment is prematurely terminated.

  • In the case of a contract termination, you might be entitled to a severance payment.
  • If you want to receive unemployment benefits, you need to meet certain requirements.

There is a minimum pay-out term of three months. This can last up to 38 months, although you are required to actively look for a new job and show proof of job applications.

POLAND

As of this 2022, the population of Poland is 37,760,535. It is the 6th most populous country in the European Union. Poland has a variety of striking landscapes, from the sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea coast and the rolling central lowlands to the snow capped peaks of the Carpathian and Sudeten Mountains.

What Poland can offer
